Directions to Campus
Nestled near downtown, Albany Law School is located in the heart of the University Heights neighborhood, an area devoted to educational and public use that is easily accessible to the New York State Thruway, Interstate 90, Interstate 787, U.S. 20 or U.S. 9.
The 1928 Building, which houses the Admissions Office, classrooms and public spaces, is located at 80 New Scotland Avenue, not far from the Capitol.
The 2000 Building, which houses administrative offices, the Career Center, The Justice Center and the Government Law Center, is located at 2 Notre Dame Drive, adjacent to the 1928 Building.
From East/West on I-90
- Take exit 4 (Slingerlands/Voorheesville) onto Route 85 west.
- Take the Krumkill Rd. exit.
- Turn left at the light at the top of the ramp onto Krumkill Rd.
- Turn right at the light on the overpass to continue east on Krumkill Rd.
- Turn left at the light onto New Scotland Avenue.
- Follow New Scotland Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles.
- Albany Law School will be on your right as you approach the intersection of New Scotland Avenue and Holland Avenue.
- Turn right on Holland Avenue.
- Take immediate right into the Albany Law School parking lot.
- The 1928 building is immediately to your right.
From the South
- Take exit 24 off of I-87 North.
- Keep left to merge onto Interstate 90 east after the toll booths.
- Follow the directions as above for getting to campus from I-90.
- From the North
- Take I-87 South to exit 1E onto 90 east.
- Follow the directions as above for getting to campus from I-90.
- From Albany International Airport
- Turn left onto Albany Shaker Road.
- Turn right onto 87 south.
- Take exit 1E onto 90 east.
- Follow the directions as above for getting to campus from I-90.
From Rensselaer Train Station
- Exit west out of the station (over the tracks) and turn left on Broadway OR
- Exit east out of the station and turn left. Turn left again at Partition and again onto Broadway.
- Turn right at Third Street onto bridge ramp.
- Follow sign for 20 West over river.
- Take 20 West to the South Pearl Street exit.
- Turn left at light onto South Pearl Street.
- Turn right on Madison Avenue (20 West) at the second light.
- Follow Madison Avenue approximately 1.5 miles to New Scotland Ave (a large park will be on your right).
- Turn left onto New Scotland Avenue.
- Albany Law School will be on your left (45 degree angle), opposite Albany Medical Center at the corner of Holland Avenue.
- Turn left onto Holland Avenue.
- Take an immediate right into the Albany Law School parking lot.
- The 1928 building is immediately to your right.
From East/West on I-90
