Justice Garry was appointed as the 16th Presiding Justice of the Third Department on January 1, 2018, after being appointed to the Third Department effective March 19, 2009. She is a member and past Co-Chair of the Richard C. Failla LGBTQ Commission of the New York Courts and has served on various boards and professional associations.
Justice Garry was a member of the Albany Law School National Alumni Association and is the recipient of the Humanitarian Achievement Award in 2019 and the Kate Stoneman Award in 2012.
She graduated from Alfred University and Albany Law School, with honors. Following graduation, Justice Garry served as Confidential Law Clerk to the Hon. Irad S. Ingraham, Justice of the Supreme Court from 1990-1994.
