Ms. Gonick is a Strategic Advisor and the Founder of Cross Sound Concepts, an advisory firm created to assist CEOs, businesses and investors during challenging inflection points to enable innovation, transformation and healthy growth.

Denise was the CEO of MVP Health Care, a $3.5 billion, mission-based health care company that employed 1,700 people. During her seven years as CEO, MVP successfully diversified its portfolio of offerings, completed a major acquisition, delivered strong financial results and became the second largest company headquartered in the Capital Region of New York. Denise’s commitment to fostering a diverse and accountable culture helped MVP become one of the Best Large Companies to Work for in New York State. Under her leadership, MVP was also recognized extensively for its commitment to the communities it serves.

Denise is a frequent speaker on leadership and health care and is a founding fellow in the Health Evolution Forum where she focuses on community health and advancing health equity. A long-time advocate for advancing women in business, Denise recently became a co-owner in Palette, a cafe, co-working space and female-focused community where she also mentors many small business owner members.

Prior to joining the Board of Trustees, Ms. Gonick served Albany Law School as a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council. Ms. Gonick received her undergraduate degree from Hofstra University.
