Albany's robust public and private sectors create opportunities for internships and field placements that add dimensions to your learning. And the region's many cultural, recreational and social attractions offer endless potential when it's time for a break from the books.
The mission of the Health & Wellness Support Network is to provide support services dealing with the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of Albany Law School students. Through these new initiatives, the Support Network strives to be proactive rather than reactive when dealing with the concerns faced by our students. Our mission is to foster the academic, physical, emotional, spiritual and social health of our students. In addition, Albany Law School believes in creating an environment where new legal professionals can effectively balance work and leisure in order to maintain a healthier lifestyle.
Health Insurance
For the
2010-2011 year, the Albany Law School student plan will consist of health
insurance through Capital District Physicians' Health Plan (CDPHP),
plus dental insurance and a discount vision plan through
Guardian. The annual policy is effective August 15, 2010
through August 14, 2011. All full-time students (enrolled
for nine or more credits) must be enrolled in Albany Law School's
plan or maintain other comparable health coverage.
New students are automatically enrolled in and charged for the student health insurance plan each year. If you are a new student, who has other comparable health insurance and you would like to waive the Albany Law School student health insurance plan, you must submit a waiver online no later than August 27, 2010.
Returning students, who waived coverage in Albany Law School's plan last year, do not need to submit a new waiver form unless their coverage information has changed.
