M.S. in Legal Studies with Tech Transfer Concentration

The Master of Science in Legal Studies with a Concentration in Technology Transfer is a truly innovative, market-driven program. This collaboration between Albany Law School and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is the first between the two schools located in the heart of New York's Tech Valley corridor, and is unique in the rapidly emerging field of technology transfer study.

Albany Law's M.S. in Legal Studies—Concentration in Technology Transfer--will include legal courses such as Trademarks, Contracts, and Patents and Licensing.

Business courses from Rensselaer's Lally School of Management include Valuation of Technology, Fundamentals of Technology Marketing, and Tax Aspects of Technology Transfer. 

This degree does not allow the holder to practice law or sit for the bar examination. Credits earned in the master's program cannot be used toward the Juris Doctor degree.
