The Innovation Intensive Survey: This survey course offers students the opportunity to learn with faculty and students from the SUNY Polytechnic Institute and will expose them to the science, art, and law of innovation, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies. Students will not only receive grounding in the law of intellectual property, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and business development, but they will also be introduced to the science behind new innovations, like nanoscale technologies and other cutting-edge innovations, so that they can practice effectively in a rapidly changing world. This class complements the Innovation Intensive Practicum, where students can work with the SUNY Research Foundation's technology transfer office, but a student does not have to enroll in that practicum to take this survey course. The class will meet remotely every other Monday, from 3 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. over Zoom. Students will receive 1 credit through this class. Students do not need any background in prior technological expertise or knowledge in intellectual property to enroll in this survey course. If you have any questions about this course, please reach out to Professor Brescia at rbres@albanylaw.edu. The format of this class is still subject to faculty approval, but students can enroll in it at the time of registration
