Teaching Legal Writing Effectively to Prepare Students for Practice
Albany Law School is pleased to host the Fourth Annual Empire State Legal Writing Conference. The main conference will feature presentations on topics and exciting teaching ideas relating to legal writing, analysis, and research.
Albany Law School is also pleased to announce the keynote speaker: Honorable Mae D’Agostino, United Stated District Judge, Northern District of New York, who will address the conference attendees during lunch.
Date and Times:
The Conference will take place on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 9:00 – 5:00.
To register for the conference, please complete and submit the online Conference Registration form by Wednesday, April 17, 2013.
ALWD Scholar’s Forum:
Albany Law School will also host the ALWD Scholar’s Forum on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 11:30 – 5:00. Please register for the Forum here (note: please be sure to respond to the last question on the registration form). Robin Boyle, Assistant Dean for Academic Success and
Professor of Legal Writing at St. John’s University School of Law, will be
facilitating the forum. The Scholars' Forum is an opportunity for participants to share their work-in-progress within a small group setting for feedback on their drafts.
