The applicant must score well on the LSAT. The GRE, a requirement for M.P.A.
admission, will be waved in lieu of the LSAT.
Applicants must submit a
full application to the University at Albany for the M.P.A. program. Full
application includes application fee, transcripts, three letters of
recommendation, resume, and personal statement. Applicants will preferably have
an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or better.

degree program has been designed to promote integration between the fields of
law and public administration. Covering areas such as public management, policy
analysis, public finance and human resources management, it enables students to
earn both degrees in, at most, four years of full-time study, rather than the
usual five. The program is designed so that a maximum of six courses may be
applicable to both degrees. Recipients of joint J.D./M.P.A. degrees hold
professional credentials for a broad range of careers in government, consulting,
