Albany Law School celebrated seven outstanding graduates at the 2018 Grand Honors Awards, recognizing their contributions to the school, its students, and the community. The Reunion kick-off event, held Thursday, Sept. 20 at the Renaissance Albany Hotel, revives a longstanding tradition of awards that dates back more than 50 years.

President & Dean Alicia Ouellette called Albany Law’s graduates “the best alumni in the world. You are loyal and supportive. You show up when we need you, and you are always there for our students.”

The awards were:

Trustees Gold Medal
• Daniel P. Nolan ’78, President and CEO, Hugh Johnson Advisors; Member and former Chairperson, Albany Law School Board of Trustees

Distinguished Alumni Award
• Hon. Michael J. Garcia ’89, Associate Judge, New York Court of Appeals

Donald D. DeAngelis ’60 Excellence in Alumni Service Award
• Keiki-Michael Cabanos ’97, Sr. Vice President and Corporate Counsel, Westwood Capital, LLC; Member, Albany Law School Board of Trustees
• Amy J. Kellogg ’02, Partner, Harter, Secrest & Emery LLP; former President, National Alumni Association

Outstanding Young Alumni Award
